Super Cell Testing
Many of the test cells at ETC may be termed as “Super Cells”. These cells use equipment which allows for a wide range of ambient test conditions. From varying altitude to extreme temperatures, these cells offer the advantage of being able to perform an entire test matrix in a single test cell.
All six of the engine test cells at ETC offer the BASE variable altitude system and have the necessary air handling equipment to provide extreme intake air temperatures and varying coolant temperature control.
ETC maintains two mobile BASE systems for use in our vehicle test sites. These mobile units can be used in conjunction with the air handling system of each cell to provide varying altitude and intake air temperatures. ETC also maintains a test cell with a dedicated BASE system intended for use in vehicle durability testing with varying altitudes.
