Engine Dynamometer Testing
The ETC facility, which includes six engine dynamometer testing cells, is designed to provide a research and development environment in support of gas and diesel engine development programs. Numerous gas and diesel engine testing services are offered, ranging from emissions development, certification, endurance, engine durability testing, and both hot and cold start testing to engine calibration for optimum performance and emissions compliance.
Four of ETC’s engine test cells are configured as double ended, this allows the customer to install two different engine platforms in a single cell. The benefit of this configuration is that a test stand can typically generate data faster than the engineer can evaluate it. With a double ended test stand, you generate data for engine “A” then switch over and generate data for engine “B” while the engineer is evaluating data from engine “A”. This methodology reduces test cell downtime and increases efficiency.
ETC is capable of supplying 24 hours a day support for your testing project. Additionally, ETC can provide remote calibration access so that engineers can work on their engines from anywhere on the globe.
